James I. O’Neill High School is seeking a NYS certified high school Spanish teacher beginning in the 2024-2025 school year who aligns with our vision of providing our students, educators and the communities we serve with the global knowledge, cultural understanding and skills needed to compete in the global community.The successful candidate will have strong knowledge in the NYS approved Spanish curriculum, demonstrate an understanding of effective practices which promotes a student-centered learning environment and feels comfortable integrating technology within the classroom. Experience with college level courses such as AP is a plus, as well as an interest in extra-curricular activities.Candidates must possess the NYS Spanish Teaching Certification (Grades 7-12) and have previous experience working with adolescents.NYSED fingerprint clearance is required.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
