Up to 8 hours per week-Monday-Thursday from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. At $50 and hour. Working under the umbrella of a grant, a certified special education support teacher will work in the program and s/he will hold a permanent license to teach secondary level special education, by having earned both Bachelor and Master's degrees through a NY state approved teacher preparation program that includes all of the pedagogical and content area classes necessary for licensure. The person selected for this position will also have at least five years of experience working with at-risk secondary students. This teacher will help design individualized learning plans, adapt lessons, and provide targeted support to meet each student's unique needs.
