Hicksville Public Schools is accepting applications for the position of School Monitors in anticipation of vacancies at the High School level.H.S. Monitor Responsibilities:To be alert and monitor student traffic in the hallways and in/out of the restrooms, from your assigned post.Observe that students sign in and out of the restrooms.Enforce the guidelines for the times the restroom should be opened/closed.Keep orderly lines for students waiting to use the restroom.Monitor and restrict the number of students entering the restroom at a given time.Make sure students who are in the hallway during class time have an approved pass to their destination.To be responsible for the bathroom key, sign-in book, and radio and to turn it in to the office each day.Enforce visitor management protocols to maintain a safe and secure school building.Follow instructions and accepted procedures.To show loyalty to the organization and use tact with the public.Demonstrate cheerfulness, neatness, and courtesy.Report to a guard, administrator, or administrative office, any suspicious activity.To display a professional demeanor, be timely, and congenial in all interactions.Shifts are 3.75 hours per day beginning at 7:30 a.m. or 10:45 a.m.Salary: $18.50 (Hourly wage)Apply on OLAS
