MINIMUM PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conducts contract analysis research in preparation for negotiations with all units; researches specific trends of regional contract settlements;Researches topics related to current Board policy review and development through work with legal counsel, the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA), and the District Policy Committee;Prepares data for required federal, state and local personnel data reports, including but not limited to: Bureau of Labor Statistics; Department of Labor; EEOC; CRDC; NYS Staff Snapshot; OSHA; Nassau County Civil Service Commission; NYSED periodic required data reports; NIS surveys; NYSSBA Research Surveys; other annual, bi-annual, monthly or weekly data reporting, as required.Supervises ongoing data integrity, expanded use of current data systems, implementation of new personnel/human resources technology systems, including staff training and required segregation of duties between payroll and personnel staff;Responsible for procedural compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations in the recruitment, selection, appointment, supervision and evaluation processes of all personnel, both certificated and non-certificated, including employment matters associated with NYS certification, contract administration issues, seniority matters, excessing, PEL recalls, JAREMA credit, etc.;Conducts classroom observations of teachers; and APPRCoordinates staff development opportunities;Supervises components of employee benefits administration;Performs all other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.*Previous applicants for this position need not reapply.
