Middle School Instrumental Music (Orchestra) – Temporary Replacement Teacher Hicksville Public Schools seeks a qualified and energetic teacher with a passion for music instruction of middle school students. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Strong background in orchestral pedagogyDaily music instruction for middle school students aligned with district and state standards. Plan for and direct daily rehearsals and small group sectionals in preparation for multiple public performances each year.Commitment to a team oriented approach throughout the district music department.QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold valid NYS Certification in Music K-12The Hicksville Public Schools music department has been recognized nationally by the NAMM Foundation as one of the “Best Communities for Music Education”.
