Helping Hands School is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist two days per week to provide services to preschool students with disabilities. We are a dynamic special education preschool program located in Clifton Park, New York that is committed to excellence in the education and treatment of young children with special needs. We pride ourselves on the exceptional quality of our staff members and their commitment to the children in their care. We are looking for a PT who will work collaboratively with the other members of a transdisciplinary school team and will create and maintain an atmosphere that encourages student learning and development. Responsibilities• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities designed to achieve goals and objectives in compliance with IEP mandates• Modify therapeutic techniques and provide supports to address the individual needs of each student• Demonstrate compliance with each student’s IEP mandates with relation to instructional materials, learning environment and instructional approach• Utilize positive behavioral supports effectively to meet each student’s needs.• Consistently and accurately collect data and record it contemporaneously.• Regularly summarize data for progress reports as per student IEP requirements• Develop partnerships with parents by providing information about their child’s school experiences and respond to parent concerns in a supportive and unbiased manner Job Details:• Hours: Two days per week 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Job Requirements:Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy program with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s degree or Clinical Doctorate of physical therapy degree.Current NYS Physical Therapy licenseApply through OLAS or send a letter of interest and resume to dburke@helpinghands.org
