HFM BOCES has an anticipated opening for a full-time Instructional Coach who will be responsible for working with districts in a variety of roles. The successful candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, classroom teaching experience, and the ab i lity to facilitate professional development. This probationary, 10-month tenure-track position, also offers up to 30 days over the summer . Expected duties: Serve in the development and support the implementation of i nstructional plans that align to NYS standards , district goals and curricula , as well as the Portrait of a Graduate. Work with teachers and administrators to analyze student data , diagnose instructional needs, and identify research-based instructional strategies to close achievement gaps. Provide individual and / or group instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve classroom instruction for all learners. Manage and distribute instructional resources to teachers and provide training on the use of those resources. En cou rage and support the implementation of technology and innovative strategies in the classroom. Extensive understanding of NYS learning standards , The Science of Reading , and Numeracy . Extensive understanding of various instruction strategies. *Salary commensurate with experience Qualifications / Experience: Candidates must hold a valid New York State Teaching Certificate Classroom teaching experience (5+ years preferred) E x perience in development , preparation , and presentation of professional development (preferred) ; training will be provided Experience with utilizing data to guide and support teachers TEACH Clearance Per Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment from the State Education Department is required.
