Our mission is to help students succeed academically, socially, and personally in ways that meet their unique needs.Position Overview:HFM BOCES is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Administrative Coordinator/Assistant Principal to support the leadership and daily operations of Adirondack Academy. The ideal candidate is a strong instructional leader with a deep understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), behavioral intervention strategies, and special education law. This individual should be an effective communicator, a collaborative team player, and someone who is passionate about supporting students in alternative education settings.Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of MTSS and behavior intervention plans. Support student success through proactive discipline practices and restorative approaches. Ensure compliance with IEPs, 504 plans, and all relevant special education laws and regulations. Collaborate with school counselors, social workers, instructional staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive school culture. Assist with staff supervision, evaluation, and professional development. Support scheduling, student enrollment, and program planning. Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes academic growth and social-emotional learning.*salary commensurate with experienceQualifications: Valid NYS School Building Leader (SBL) or equivalent administrative certification. Experience working in alternative education or with at-risk student populations preferred. Strong knowledge of MTSS, behavioral support systems, and trauma-informed practices. Familiarity with special education processes, including CSE, IEP development, and IDEA regulations. Proven ability to lead collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
