The Herkimer Central School District is seeking a Middle-High School Principal 6-12 OR Middle-High School Assistant Principal 6-12. Salary commensurate with experience. Qualifications:NYS School Administrator, NYS School District Administrator Certification, or eligibility.At least five (5) years experience in education.Strong commitment to students, a positive school climate and culture and an understanding of effective classroom instruction.Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development and school improvement as well as knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards and assessments.Performance Responsibilities:Provide instructional leadership to staff including curriculum planning, review and implementation, as well as professional development.Assists in the day-to-day building administration safety and welfare of students, staff, and the school community.Provides restorative practices in discipline while enforcing school policies and code of conduct.
