Qualifications:NYS School Administrator, NYS School District Administrator Certification, or eligibility.At least five (5) years experience in education.Strong commitment to children and an understanding of effective classroom instruction.Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development and school improvement as well as knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards.Performance Responsibilities:Provide instructional leadership to staff including curriculum planning, review and implementation, and professional development.Assists the staff in the implementation of quality instruction.Assists in the day-to-day building administration and safety and welfare of students, staff, volunteers, and activities.Ensures a safe, pleasant, and effective education atmosphere, provides discipline as necessary and enforces school policy.Applicants must apply on-line through OLAS and submit a letter of interest to Mrs. Kathleen Carney, Superintendent, Herkimer Central School District, 801 W German Street, Herkimer, NY 13350.
