IMMEDIATE VACANCIES: SCHOOL MONITOR (FULL TIME) - MULTIPLE POSITIONSJob Description: Under supervision, a School Monitor performs a variety of non-teaching duties requiring the exercise of good judgment and the ability to get along well with children, youths, and/or young adults. A School Monitor is responsible for the supervision of students and student activities and for maintaining order in school buildings, hallways, school grounds, and playgrounds. Work requires the employee to be able to maintain discipline among students in a courteous but firm manner. A School Monitor generally functions outside the classroom maintaining order. A School Monitor demonstrates strong communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.Individuals with law enforcement experience and/or hold NYS Security Guard licenses are encouraged to apply.
