Athletic TrainerSeason Start Date: ASAP Terms of Employment: Ten month part-time position, beginning the first day of fall practices, approximately mid-August, through approximately mid-June. The athletic trainer will work in accordance with a weekly schedule to be determined by the Athletic Director. Weekly schedules will vary according to the athletic season. Trainer will submit a timesheet. Requirements Successful coaching/athletic training experienceA passion for teaching student-athletes, coaches, and parents injury prevention techniquesMaintain current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification Maintain current state licensure in accordance with the New York’s Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners Maintain current certification in First Aid/CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care (AED)Personal traits appropriate for nurturing the growth of children CDC - “Heads Up” Concussion Certification NYSED Fingerprint Clearance AA/EEO Ethnically, culturally and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome in the Hastings-on-Hudson U.F.S.D.
