The Harrison Central School District is seeking candidates who hold NYS certification in special education for a leave replacement position in a middle school self-contained special education classroom (15:1:1). The preferred candidate will have experience modifying and adapting general education curriculum across the core content areas (ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science) for students who may be functioning far below grade level expectations. Candidates should be well-versed in how to provide access to a rigorous curriculum through providing various scaffolds and specially designed instruction. The preferred candidate should be highly collaborative, skilled in providing individualized instruction, knowledgeable about positive behavioral supports, and able to implement behavior intervention plans.
