The Harrison Central School District—a high-performing International Baccalaureate district in lower Westchester County, New York—seeks an exceptional educational leader to serve as Assistant Director of Physical Education, Health & Athletics. Working in close partnership with the Director of Physical Education, Health & Athletics, the Assistant Director will: Advance a shared vision of athletics centered on character, perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship Support and supervise all aspects of the athletic program, including oversight of games and practices Build strong relationships with families and foster partnerships with community organizations Observe and evaluate K–12 physical education and health teachers, as well as coaches, to support continuous growth Design and facilitate meaningful professional learning for teachers and coaches Strengthen communication and engagement with students, families, staff, and the broader community Qualifications Minimum of seven years of successful experience as a teacher and coach (varsity-level experience preferred) Demonstrated leadership capacity; prior supervisory experience preferred Valid New York State teaching certification (physical education or health preferred) New York State administrative certification (SBL/SAS preferred; candidates in progress considered) Compensation & Benefits Harrison offers a highly competitive compensation package for Westchester County, including: Minimum starting salary of $139,754 (higher based on experience and advanced degrees) Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Ongoing leadership development aligned with district priorities Tuition reimbursement for graduate study
