The Harrison Central School District, a high-performing International Baccalaureate school district located in lower Westchester County, New York, is currently seeking an elementary principal for the Purchase Elementary School, starting July 1, 2026. This leadership position requires candidates to hold New York State certification in administration (SAS or SBL) and at least seven years of successful teaching experience. Experience as a seated principal, assistant principal, or instructional coach is preferred. The expertise and responsibilities required of this position include, but are not limited to: Promoting the District’s core values - equity, access, rigor, and adaptability - to support differentiated teaching and personalized learning that serves each child in a school of over 350 students. Providing visionary leadership to promote the success of an already high-performing elementary school that focuses on personalizing learning for students. Observing and evaluating teachers and staff in a system that views accountability as a means of improving educational opportunities for students. Designing and delivering professional development to promote teacher growth and enhance the effectiveness of the IB Primary Years program. Working collaboratively with a talented leadership team to advance a commitment to equity and access for all students.
