The Harrison Central School District is seeking candidates who hold NYS certification in special education for an immediate vacancy in an elementary self-contained emotional support program. The ideal candiate will have:- Experience working with elementary age students whose primary disability is emotional- Knowledge of ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) principles and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) skills and strategies- TCIS (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention in Schools) training or willingness to be trained in TCIS- Ability to communicate with various teachers/clinicians/related service providers/support staff to best address the social/emotional needs of the students- Vast knowledge of child development, behavioral science and behavioral interventions- Experience conducting FBAs (functional behavioral assessments) and Implementing BIPs (behavior intervention plans)
