The Haldane Central School District is seeking qualified applicants for a Director of Curriculum and Human Resources. The successful candidate will be an innovative leader who works to maintain a culture of high expectations and elevates the district’s work in pursuit of The Haldane Essentials .The ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders, establish trust, and create positive, harmonious relationships throughout the district is essential to this role. The Director of Curriculum and Human Resources will: Provide leadership through a systems lens in the PreK-12 development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional services, including General Education, Special Education, and ELLs Establish and champion an instructional vision, pedagogical approach, and learning framework that delivers on the goals of the district’s strategic plan Lead professional development and facilitate faculty and staff understanding of effective instructional strategies and the implementation of aligned curriculum Leverage data for information and enhancing teaching and learning Oversee all human resources-related functions and collective bargaining activities, including contract negotiations, staff orientation, mentoring, training and professional learning requirements, evaluations, tenure, certifications, employee benefits and rights, and retirement Collaborate with building principals to implement all aspects of the Annual Professional Performance Review and supervise the staff evaluation process Partner with the Superintendent in the ongoing assessment of staffing needs and recruiting based on new positions, retirements and resignations, leaves of absence, and part-time/temporary needs, under the conditions of District contracts and policies and Civil Service requirements Oversee the organization and management of a comprehensive and up-to-date employee records system Effectively manage other responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent Qualification: New York State SDA or SDL Certification Previous experience as a building principal and/or similar district-level administrative position The Haldane Central School District is a close-knit school community located in Cold Spring, NY. The District serves approximately 800 students on one PreK-12 campus. The Director of Curriculum and Human Resources reports to the Superintendent of Schools.
