TEACHING ASSISTANT - THE MANITOU SCHOOL The Haldane Central School District (HCSD) is seeking applicants for a full time Teaching Assistant position to support a student at The Manitou School, which is a private school located within the boundaries of the HCSD. This position is scheduled to begin September 8, 2026- June 16, 2027. Teaching Assistant Certification is required. Compensation commensurate based upon experience and in accordance with Haldane HFA contract. The exact start and end times each day are to be determined. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and student-centered 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individualized support to a student throughout the school day. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering student growth while promoting independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in all aspects of the educational program. We are looking for an individual who is patient, flexible, collaborative, and passionate about helping every child succeed. Working under the supervision of the classroom teacher and in collaboration with the special education team, the 1:1 Teaching Assistant will provide instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and organizational support based on the individual needs of the assigned student. The successful candidate will play an essential role in helping the student access the curriculum, participate in classroom activities, develop positive relationships, and achieve their educational goals while encouraging increasing independence whenever appropriate.
