Position: English Language Arts Teacher: Anticipated Leave of Absence (semester length minimum/end of year maximum)Location: Guilderland High SchoolStart Date: As Soon as PossibleMinimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess NYS certification in English Language Arts, 7-12 and a Bachelor’s Degree; however, a Master’s degree or higher within the discipline is preferred.Job Description: The Guilderland Central School District is hiring one full-time (1.0 FTE) English teacher to cover an anticipated leave of absence, starting immediately at Guilderland High School. Candidates must possess NYS certification in English Language Arts, 7-12 and a Bachelor’s Degree; however, a Master’s degreeor higher within the discipline is preferred. Registration as an approved substitute through Capital Region BOCES is preferred, but not required. In addition, experience working with writing instruction, the eleventh grade NYS NextGen ELA Standards, literature, and students with diverse learning needs are also preferred.
