The Guilderland Central School District is seeking a 3hr. elementary teaching assistant at Lynnwood Elementary School. Candidates must hold NYS Teaching Assistant Level I, II or III Certification, or NYS Teacher Certification.Responsibilities include supporting students with disabilities in general education and special classroom environments.The successful candidate will demonstrate:Organization of instructional materials and provide educational support for students under the direction of the classroom teacher. The ability to monitor and reinforce skills and concepts previously taught by the teacher in individual or small group learning situations within the educational environment and under the supervision of the classroom teacher.The ability to interact appropriately with students, teachers and supervisors.A child-centered philosophy and a willingness to work with students.
