The Guilderland Central School District is seeking a 3 Hour Elementary Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a 5th Grade student at Westmere Elementary School.Candidates must hold NYS Teaching Assistant Level I, II or III Certification, NYS Teacher Certification, or be willing to work towards a NYS Teaching Assistant Certification.Responsibilities include supporting individual students in general education and special classroom environments.The successful candidate will demonstrate:Organization of instructional materials and provide educational support for students under the direction of the classroom teacher.The ability to monitor and reinforce skills and concepts previously taught by the teacher in individual or small group learning situations within the educational environment and under the supervision of the classroom teacher.The ability to interact appropriately with students, teachers and supervisors.A child-centered philosophy and a willingness to work with students.A positive mindset and ability to establish meaningful relationships with young studentsAPPLY ON OLASORSend Letter of Interest and resume to:Regan D.
