The Summer School Principal provides leadership, planning and oversight for the district's Summer Enrichment Program (grades K-8), ENL program (grades K-12), Summer School for credit recovery (grades 9-12), and August Regents administration. This role requires excellent organizational, managerial, and communication skills. It involves extensive, year-round coordination with multiple district departments, as well as on-site leadership during summer operations.Key Responsibilities: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff • develop publication of the summer program promotional and registration materials • coordinate and monitor student registration, and staffing levels/schedules and adjust course sections • communicate with families and staff regarding registration, schedules, logistics, and program updates • oversee financial matters, including purchasing, payments/refunds, deposits, treasury reports, and payroll • provide daily on-site leadership of summer operations (June 29-August 21) addressing student and staff needs/attendance, responding to emergencies, and leading state-mandated drills • manage August Regents administration • conduct end-of-program close-outApplicants MUST have NY State Administrative certification (Administrator, SBL, SAS, or SDA)Stipends: Summer School - $21,520 (pensionable through NYSTRS); Summer Enrichment - $7,000 (not pensionable through NYSTRS) - Total Compensation: $28,520We celebrate diversity, inclusion, and equity, and welcome applicants representative of our diverse and multicultural community
