Great Neck Public Schools is currently seeking an Elementary Music Teacher (Instrumental) position at J. F. Kennedy Elementary School for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. Preferred applicants:possess previous elementary teaching experience of band and orchestrapossess experience teaching general music including theory, appreciation, history and ensembledemonstrate individual performance skills on a band and string instrument, strong knowledge of band and orchestra pedagogy, and the ability to teach elementary school band and orchestra curriculumpossess experience coordinating the instrument selection process, organizing and creating individual and small group lesson schedules, supporting musical theatre productions, preparing students for various performances, designing and delivering large-scale concerts, and taking an active role in a large school community Applicants MUST have NYS Music (K-12 Certification. Estimated Salary: Step 1/BA – Step 3/Doctorate ($64,375 -$97,075). Placement in accordance with CBA.
