We are seeking an occupational therapist to work with students who present significant academic and behavioral challenges. This position is available during the forthcoming Summer session, which will take place from July 8th to August 16th, 2024. The successful candidate will be required to provide services to students at Greenburgh Academy, located in Yonkers, New York, and Dr. Kenneth B. Clark Academy, located in Dobbs Ferry, New York. This position has the potential to transition into a full-time, ten-month contract for the 2024-2025 academic year.Responsibilities and Qualifications:Provide appropriate mandated occupational therapy services to middle and high school students with special needsEstablish goals, develop treatment plans, and report on progress throughout the school yearProvides supervision to Occupational Therapy students as needed.Records progress on all active cases in therapy, monitors therapy status, and makes appropriate recommendations as changes occur.Maintains therapy equipment and communicates supply requests to building administratorExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary teamCertifications:NYS Occupational Therapy License (Required)
