Responsibilities: - Provide behavioral health services to children and families in need - Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients - Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and healthcare providers, to coordinate care - Advocate for the rights and well-being of children in the child welfare system - Provide crisis intervention and support to clients and their families - Assist with conflict management and resolution within families or educational settings - Offer counseling and support to students with special education needs - Collaborate with child protective services to ensure the safety and well-being of children - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactionsQualifications: Master's degree in social work Must have either a Provisional or Permanent Certificate in School Social Work Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting Knowledge of child welfare policies and procedures Strong crisis management skills and ability to intervene in high-stress situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with special education laws and regulations is a plus*Compensation is determined by the level of education.
