INTERIM ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT COORDINATOR OF SCIENCE, K-12 Salary: Commensurate with Experience Glen Cove City School District is committed to recruit and hire the most qualified staff members who are dedicated to the success of all students and the Glen Cove City community. Job Description: Assist the Office of Curriculum in providing leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the district's K-12 science programs. Qualifications: Valid NYS School District Administrator (SDL/SAS) and Science Certifications Significant prior educational leadership experience preferred Fingerprinting clearance required Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to): Supervise subject-area staff, including conducting evaluations and guiding curriculum development. Serve as a resource for teachers and administrators by providing academic leadership in science education. Design and lead professional development opportunities grounded in current best practices and research in science education. Help maintain and further the established long-term goals, action plans, and innovative initiatives for the department. Oversee the selection, implementation, and supervision of instructional materials for the department. Administer and analyze midterms, finals, Regents Examinations, and other standardized assessments to guide instructional improvements. Support the integration of technology, digital tools, and innovative instructional practices in science instruction. Manage the departmental budget, staffing, and recruitment processes.
