VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENTCOORDINATOR OF PERFORMING, MEDIA, & FINE ARTS, K-12PROBATIONARY(11-MONTH POSITION)Salary: As Per ContractGlen Cove City School District is committed to recruit and hire the most qualified staff members who are dedicated to the success of all students and the Glen Cove City community.Job Description: Provide leadership, coordination, and oversight of the District’s K–12 Performing, Media, and Fine Arts programs, partnering with administrators and instructional staff to further advance curriculum, instruction, and programming. Guide program development, curriculum implementation, and staff supervision to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned arts education, and expanded student pathways in the arts.Qualifications:NYS Certification as School District Administrator (SDL/SAS)NYS Teaching Certification in Art, Visual Arts and/or MusicWillingness and ability to devote time beyond the regular school day to support performances, events, and program responsibilitiesExperience with grant writing preferredFingerprinting clearance requiredEssential Duties (include, but are not limited to):Provides leadership and overall supervision of K–12 performing, media, and fine arts programs to ensure program quality, coherence, and effectivenessWorks collaboratively with administrators and instructional departments to align arts programs with broader District initiatives and interdisciplinary opportunitiesSupervises and evaluates respective staff in accordance with established district guidelines and evaluation frameworksLeads the development, implementation, and ongoing review of arts curricula and programs aligned with New York State standards and District prioritiesEstablishes annual departmental goals and action plans and monitors successful implementation and outcomesCoordinates and supervises extracurricular and co-curricular arts organizations, activities, and performancesExpands and promotes student pathways and opportunities in the arts through new offerings, partnerships, and program innovationAnalyzes student achievement and program data and prepares reports to inform instructional and program decisionsPlans and coordinates professional learning opportunities that support teacher growth and strengthen program effectivenessBuilds and maintains strong partnerships with families and serves as a resource for students and parents regarding arts programmingSeeks and supports grant opportunities and external funding sources to enhance arts programming and resourcesCoordinates departmental initiatives and community engagement efforts that strengthen district and community support for performing, media, and fine artsPerforms other responsibilities and related duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designeeLocation: DistrictDeadline: March 15, 2026Effective: July 1, 2026Application Instructions: Qualified candidates should apply via OLAS with a resume and letter of interest to Andrew DiNapoli, before the deadline.
