ANTICIPATED VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHERFULL-YEAR LEAVE REPLACEMENT Salary: $125.00 Per Day(Step and salary after 30 working days as per contract)Glen Cove City School District is committed to recruit and hire the most qualified staff members who are dedicated to the success of all students and the Glen Cove City community.Job Description: Support students in developing essential knowledge, skills, and understanding while creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.Qualifications:New York State Certification in Social Studies (7-12)Fingerprinting clearance required Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to):Utilize New York State standards and district curriculum to establish clear learning goals and expectations, providing students with a structured roadmap for academic growth.Demonstrate a deep understanding of civic-minded instruction and the development of students’ civic knowledge and skills.Meet and teach assigned classes and caseload.Create and maintain a classroom environment that fosters learning and supports the needs of all students.Maintain accurate and complete records to track the progress of individual students.Use data to inform instructional decisions and support the needs of all students.Communicate with parents regarding the progress of individual students.Support and advance the district’s educational philosophy, instructional goals, and objectives through teaching and professional conduct.Complete other duties as assigned.
