VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPALPROBATIONARY(11-MONTH POSITION)Salary: As Per Contract Glen Cove City School District is committed to recruit and hire the most qualified staff members who are dedicated to the success of all students and the Glen Cove City community.Job Description: Supports the building principal in implementing the school’s vision, mission, and goals, ensuring high standards in all aspects of school operation.Qualifications:NYS SBL/SAS CertificationSecondary administrative experience preferredExperience coordinating and managing assessments/testing preferredFingerprinting clearance requiredEssential Duties (include, but are not limited to):Collaborate with administration, teachers, counselors, and support staff to maintain a positive learning environmentOversee school discipline procedures and policies; promote a positive school culture, and support restorative practicesActively participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as a representative of the administrationDevelop and manage a comprehensive testing schedule for all New York State assessments in alignment with state regulations and district guidelinesCoordinate and maintain the schedule for local benchmark assessments, ensuring clear communication and effective administration across all grade levels and content areasAssist in evaluating staff performance and providing constructive feedback for continuous improvementSupport in planning and executing programs and activitiesAbility to utilize strong problem-solving skills to appropriately support all stakeholdersWork collaboratively and effectively with students, staff, parents, and the broader school communityOther duties as assigned by the building principalLocation: Robert M.
