To provide leadership and coordination of technological services and resources to support instruction.Qualifications:Valid NYS Certification as School District Administrator (SDL/SAS)Master’s DegreeFingerprinting clearance required Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to):Plans for the implementation, evaluation and improvement of the Instructional/Information Technology program, including the formulation of the vision and objectives.Develops programs and schedules necessary for the effective use of computer hardware and software instruction and administration of the school system. Provides leadership and support for Instructional/Information Technology and Data Management personnel and systems; manages and maintains district infrastructure management and Instructional/Information systems.Establishes and implements Instructional/Information technology strategic plans, operating policies and procedures for the district at the request of the Superintendent and the Board of Education.Recommends all personnel for employment in the Information Technology department with the involvement of appropriate district personnel.Develops and administers budgets for the Instructional/Information Technology department.Observes and evaluates teachers in accordance with established guidelines as needed.Supervises and evaluates technology support personnel in accordance with established guidelinesWorks collaboratively with administrative team and Instructional Technology Coach to plan for professional development for faculty and staff, and to provide high quality data to support and implement the district’s initiatives.Coordinate with Data Protection Officer to develop systems and procedures to maintain compliance with NYS Ed. Law 2d.Coordinates meetings, committees, and activities as necessary to produce an effective instructional program.Maintains liaison with BOCES and other educational agencies in order to utilize available resources in a cost-effective manner.Participates in the facilitation of other initiatives at the district and school levels as needed.Completes all other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendents.Attends Board of Education meetings and prepares reports for the Board of Education at the request of the Superintendent.Location: All Buildings
