POSITION: School Bus MechanicSTART DATE: As Soon As PossibleSALARY: Starting at $48,000 (Salary negotiable based on experience)TERMS: Full-Time, 12 MonthQualifications: (A) An Associate Degree in auto or diesel mechanics or similar field, from and accredited college and one (1) year of experience as an auto or diesel mechanic or (B) Completion of a one (1) year certification or BOCES type program in automotive repair AND two (2) years’ experience as an auto or diesel mechanic OR (C) A high school diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years as an auto or diesel mechanic.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid New York State Commercial driver’s license with the passenger endorsement, by the end of the probationary period or by the first year of employment, whichever comes first.Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable School Bus Mechanic to join our transportation team. This position is essential to maintaining the safety and efficiency of our school district’s fleet of buses.
