Applications will be continuously accepted until the position is filled. Job Title: Director of Student Pathways and Family & Community Partnerships . Reports To: Assistant Superintendent Position Summary The Director of Student Pathways and Family & Community Partnerships provides district-wide leadership and operational oversight for K–12 academic counseling, student pathway development, work-based learning, family engagement programming, and partnerships among the district, families, businesses, agencies, and the broader community. Working under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, the Director translates district priorities into coordinated operation of programs, services, and opportunities that support student success from early learning through graduation and beyond. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Student Support Oversight of the K–12 Academic Counseling Department, aligning comprehensive counseling services with district academic expectations and Portraits in Practice Strategic Plan. Leads, expands, implements work-based learning and career-connected opportunities for students. Oversee district student intake processes, including residency verifications and compliance; with residency recommendations made to the Superintendent of Schools. Work with building principals on systems and programs available to support students. Oversee Conscious Discipline implementation and CDAT teams district wide. Superintendent’s Designee for homeschooling. Support consistent implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Family Engagement & Community Programs Participate on the Family Engagement Ad Hoc Committee. Coordinate all aspects of the Family Resource Center under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent of Schools. Oversee community outreach initiatives, including the Backpack Program and seasonal support via the Holiday Help Line. Organize workshops, learning opportunities, and resources through district Parent University programming. Coordinate early intervention literacy initiatives, including a monthly Early Intervention Story Hour. Develop new community partnerships, and programming that continues to align to the needs of students and families. Community Partnerships & Work-Based Learning Cultivate local business and organizational partnerships to expand work-based learning and career-connected opportunities for students. Serve as the primary liaison between community agencies, local non-profits, and the school district. Communications & Grant Writing Sustain and expand family engagement initiatives through local, state, and federal grant opportunities. Create and schedule regular community and parent updates via ParentSquare. Develop new community partnerships via communication pathways. Assist with Federal and State grant reporting as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent and/or Superintendent. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent and/or Superintendent of Schools Qualifications Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred. Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with community partners, families, and school staff. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with school communication platforms. New York State certification as a School District Administrator (SDA), School District Leader (SDL), or qualified for Internship Certificate preferred but will consider other credentials and experience.
