The Greater Johnstown School District (GJSD) is seeking a dynamic and visionary educator to serve as the Principal of Warren Street Elementary School overseeing approximately 315 students in grades 2-4. The chosen candidate will oversee a dedicated team of 55 collaborative and student-centered faculty and support staff, many of whom have long standing tenure within the District. You will work closely with the Director of Elementary Instruction, the Director of Student Engagement, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, and the District’s SEAL Team, an established group of mental health professionals. Warren Street Elementary School boasts a culture of academic excellence, and a strong record of student engagement and achievement. The new Warren Street Elementary School Principal should be an effective communicator—both verbal and written, a creative problem solver, experienced instructional leader, and someone who is highly visible at events and actively engaged in the school community. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students, staff, families, and community members, and to show a deep commitment to inclusive and equitable education along with a proven record of academic success.
