The Greenburgh-Graham Union Free School District, an outstanding Special Act School District located in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, seeks a full-time experienced Personnel Assistant/Coordinator. Will transfer an appropriate permanent civil service title. Benefits.The Personnel Coordinator is responsible for the management of the Personnel Department. - Establishes and maintains employee personnel record files including paperwork relating to teacher certification, fingerprinting, NYS requirements, OCFS clearance, Civil Service, staff evaluations, and separate files for Worker’s Compensation, health records and benefits. - Manages new hires and terminations - OSPRA Coordinator: Responsible for fingerprint Clearance and maintaining OSPRA website. Processes fingerprint clearance through State Ed. Ensures compliance with OSPRA regulations for fingerprint clearance. - Maintains personnel database on n Nvision. Updates personal, professional, civil service and salary information. - Maintains District OCFS On-line Clearance System for State Central Registry. - Prepares annual salary and attendance letters for contractual staff.- Prepares probationary staff and hourly letters annually. - Benefits Administrator: Processes health, dental, life and vision insurance enrollments, changes and terminations using on-line health insurance websites. Reviews health, dental and vision bills monthly before submitting to Accounts Payable. Prepares life insurance statement monthly and submits it to Accounts Payable. Maintains databases and prepares reports for insurances.- BEDS Coordinator: Liaison with State Ed on BEDS submissions.- Prepares both certified and classified personnel agenda for BOE meetings, which includes appointments, leave of absences, salary changes, resignations and terminations, which are submitted to the Board of Education for approval. - Liaison to Civil Service. Requests lists and prepares civil service canvass letters to be sent to candidates on eligible lists. Reviews, replies, records responses and prepares appropriate paperwork for canvasses; Prepares audit and other reports of personnel changes to be submitted to the County Personnel Office; complete hire, termination, new position, exempt position and change forms. - MYLEARNINGPLAN Admin: Site Configuration, Support and Technical contact; Instructs and assists staff with the program issues. Maintains data-base. Prepares and transmits required Professional Development hours to NYS Education Department. - Checks personnel changes for conformance with current rules and procedures. - Answers questions concerning certification, health benefits, district and civil service rules and procedures. - Prepares postings for vacancies and newspaper advertisements. - Receives resumes, application and inquiries regarding positions available or civil service position postings - Prepares routine letters, memos, forms, etc. - Prepares and updates seniority and probationary lists. - Sits at Negotiations table - Confers with school attorney and secures information from records as required for resolving current problems. - Prepares other personnel negotiations and payroll reports as required. - Attends administration and instructional meetings as required. - Related work as required.In accordance with Westchester County civil service rules and regulations
