The Position:The Garden City Union Free School District is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Coordinator of Music and Arts K-12. Qualifications: Candidates should possess the following qualifications: A minimum of five years teaching experience in Music and/or ArtPassion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational skillsExperience in developing and implementing curriculum, working collaboratively with teachers and administrators, and leading professional development programsProficiency in using technology tools and platforms for instructional design and deliveryDemonstrated experience in designing and implementing music and/or arts curricula for K-12 studentsAbility to advocate for arts education and the importance of music and performing arts within the Garden City Public SchoolsFamiliarity with national and state standards for music education and the artsStrong ability to network with other districts, community organizations, and professional artists to enhance the district’s music and arts programsDemonstrated commitment to studentsThe ability to coach and support teachersNYS certification in school district administration and Music and/or Art required.
