We are seeking an Assistant Principal who will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of achievement, character, and leadership that define our school. Position Overview: The High School Assistant Principal will work closely with the Principal, faculty, students, and families to support the academic, social-emotional, and operational goals of the school. This individual will be a dynamic and visionary leader, committed to fostering a positive school culture while maintaining the highest expectations for student success. Qualifications: NYS Administrative Certification (SBL) Teaching experience with an understanding of instructional strategies and student engagement Problem-solving and decision-making capability in addressing student needs and resolving issues with fairness and consistency Key Responsibilities: Instructional Leadership: Support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies, using data to drive decision-making, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Student Support & Engagement: Promote student achievement by developing intervention plans, overseeing student discipline, and supporting social-emotional learning initiatives. Staff Supervision & Professional Development: Mentor and evaluate faculty and staff, providing feedback and opportunities for growth to enhance teaching and learning. School Climate & Culture: Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and academically challenging environment that upholds the school’s mission and values. Operational & Administrative Leadership: Oversee scheduling, safety procedures, and daily operations to ensure a smooth and efficient school environment. Family & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, community members, and stakeholders to support student success and school initiatives.
