The Position:The Garden City Union Free School District is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Assistant Director of PPS. The successful candidate will share responsibility for the special education program K-12. This includes psychological services, social work, language, speech and hearing services as well as the Committee on Preschool Special Education. The District: Garden City is twenty miles east of Manhattan in the heart of Nassau County, Long Island. Close to 3,900 students attend Garden City Public Schools in kindergarten through 12. There are three primary schools (grades K and 1), two elementary schools (grades 2-5), one middle school (grades 6-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).
