The Garden City Public School District is seeking a school counselor with the following qualifications:Experience with helping students navigate the college exploration and application processExperience with one-on-one counseling with students, to address academic, social, and emotional needsExperience assisting students in setting educational and career goals, while researching various pathways for post-secondary successExperience with transition assessments and planning for students who are classified; experience with CSE participationExperience with crisis intervention, support, and preventionMust maintain accurate and confidential student records, including transcripts and individual progress reviewsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators and other members of the school community
