The Garden City Public School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our High School Vocational Program/8:1:2 Special Class. A successful candidate should possess the following: New York State Special Education Certification Experience with the application of the premises of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Experience with implementation of varied teaching methodologies, including discrete trials Strong ability to differentiate instructional goals Experience following BIPS and establishing classroom behavioral systems Experience teaching children with significant behavioral profiles and complex communication needs BCBA preferred CTE or CDOS certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
