As the CSE Chairperson at Green Chimneys, the incumbent will be a member of the education team, committed to our education program at each of our sites. It is imperative the CSE Chairperson has the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with professional colleagues, parents, students, and children within a diverse and multicultural environment.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Represent, advocate and monitor CSE meetings on both the Brewster and Clearpool CampusReview paperwork and IEP prior to the meeting for completeness and qualityLiaison between school district, parents and GC for CSE related concernsWork with IT department, districts and families with Assistive Tech devices and Google LoginsSupervise the program teachersBack up supervisor for Clearpool as needed during the school yearOther duties as assignedWhat you bring to Green Chimneys:Bachelor’s Degree required in related field; Master’s in Education preferred. Five years’ experience working with ED students. Licensure/Certification: NYS Education Professional Certificate in Education or related field or ability to obtain within 2 years.
