Green Chimneys is looking for substitute Teacher Assistants! Extra hours are currently available due to COVID, there is the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week. There will be the opportunity to transfer into full-time, benefit eligible positions as they become available.It is the responsibility of the Teacher's Assistant to provide a structured learning experience and atmosphere in the classrooms assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: tutoring classes, covering in teacher’s absence and providing a structured learning experience with a commitment to agency’s strategic principles. Candidates may receive requests to substitute at either the Brewster or Carmel campuses.Job Qualifications:This position requires an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Special Education or CTA Credential; or High School with several years of education experience. Must have the ability to obtain TA Certification within six months of employment. Will consider candidates without Teacher's Assistant Certification as Teacher's Aides.Per Diems must work a minimum number of two shifts requested of every five shifts offered in order to stay active.
