The Greater Amsterdam School District is in search of an Intervention Support Specialist for the 2023-24 School Year.Intervention Support SpecialistDistrictJob Summary: Responsible to the Director of Special Education & Student Support Services. The Intervention Specialist will work with district administrators, building leaders and staff to improve the implementation and fidelity of District Multi Tiered Behavior Supports and Systems (MTSS), as well as demonstrate knowledge of culturally Responsive Social Emotional Learning Practices and Trauma Sensitive Practices. Must adept at supporting and implementing data-informed practices, all through a lens of trauma informed and equity. Must be able to build both relationships and systems with a variety of different stakeholders, positively impacting school culture and climate. Minimum Qualifications: NYS Certification (School Psychologist, Behavior Specialist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor or a School Social Worker.1-2 years of successful experience working with youth.Preferred Requirements:Experience with collaboration, school counseling plans, trauma informed care, crisis intervention & restorative justice Organizational skillsKnowledge of research based best practice for SELPlease apply on OLAS Jobs by 6/17/2023.
