The Greater Amsterdam School District is searching for a probationary Athletic Director .ATHLETIC DIRECTORJob Summary: The Athletic Director will be responsible to the Superintendent of Schools and will provide leadership in the development, implementation, coordination and integration of the Health and Physical Education curriculum (K-12), Interscholastic Athletics program (7-12), and Intramurals program (K-12). The Athletic Director will be responsible for the supervision of interscholastic coaches, health teachers (6-12), physical education teachers (K-12) and District nurses.Minimum Qualifications:NYS Certification - SAS, SDA, SDLNYS Certification - Physical EducationFive years of successful teaching and coaching experiencePreferred Requirements:Evidence of successful administrative experience.Terms of Employment: This is a twelve (12) month position.
