We're seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Reading Interventionist to join our team at Fairgrieve Elementary. This is a full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of foundational reading skills and a commitment to helping students achieve reading proficiency.ResponsibilitiesAs a Reading Interventionist, you'll work with students in grades K-4 who need additional support in reading. Your main duties will include:Providing targeted small-group and one-on-one instruction based on student data.Diagnosing specific reading difficulties and developing individualized intervention plans.Administering and interpreting various reading assessments to track student progress and inform instruction.Collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure a consistent approach to literacy development.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and intervention services.Communicating regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and strategies for home support.QualificationsNew York State Teaching Certification in LiteracyMaster's degree in Reading, Literacy, or a related field preferred.Proven experience working with elementary students, particularly those with reading challenges.Knowledge of evidence-based reading intervention programs and instructional strategies.Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Salary and BenefitsThe starting salary for this position is $63,746. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, and paid time off. Other salary benefits include:A Master's Degree Stipend of $2,598.$140 per graduate credit towards a Master's Degree (beyond the initial degree).$500 per year of certified experience.
