The Fulton City School District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our athletic department as a Girls Varsity Assistant Coach. We are looking for a passionate coach who is committed to fostering a positive and challenging environment for our student-athletes, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.Responsibilities:Assist the Head Varsity Coach in all aspects of the program, including practice planning and implementation, game day coaching, and team management.Work with student-athletes to develop individual and team skills, techniques, and strategies.Foster a positive and supportive team culture that promotes respect, discipline, and effort.Assist with scouting opponents and developing game plans.Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.Adhere to all Section III, NYSPHSAA, and Fulton City School District policies and regulations.Communicate effectively with players, parents, fellow coaches, and athletic department staff.Potentially assist with administrative duties such as equipment management, uniform distribution, and record-keeping.Attend all practices, games, and team events as required.Qualifications:Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.Playing experience at the high school or collegiate level is a plus.Knowledge of the sport's rules, strategies, and techniques.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of student-athletes.CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).NYS Coaching Certification or ability to obtain (requires DASA training, fingerprinting, and other necessary certifications).A commitment to academic success and character development in student-athletes.
