The Fulton City School District is seeking candidates to fill the position of Director of Human Resources. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:embrace and actively promote the district focus on belonging, safety and purpose;act with the highest level of professionalism, integrity and ethics in all matters;establish positive relationships of mutual respect with all members of the school community;serve as a role model to others in accordance with district beliefs and expectations;communicate clearly and effectively to a diverse audience of stakeholders;hold all employees to consistently high professional standards while providing support for professional and personal growth.Duties include:Provide expertise, vision and leadership on all matters within human resources, under the direction of the Deputy Superintendent and Chief of Operations and Finance.Implement procedures and practices that lead to attainment of the district’s goal of creating a safe and welcoming environment for all employees, students and guests.Provide vision and direction for staffing in alignment district needs and goals..Manage assigned daily operations within the human resources office while identifying, evaluating, and implementing procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.Assist and/or lead collective bargaining, including the preparation of compensation studies, district proposals, and contract language.Oversee compliance with Civil Service Law and procedures.Assist in designing, developing and implementing strategic recruitment and retention efforts focusing on diversifying the district’s workforce. This includes researching hiring best practices, emerging technologies, and outreach to promote Fulton City School District as the employer of choice in a highly competitive market.Oversee the administration of district benefits programs (health, dental, vision, leaves, retirement, etc).Recruitment, assignment, supervision and evaluation of substitute staff.Coordinate and facilitate labor management meetings and follow-up actions.Oversee and promote compliance with all local, state and federal laws related to employment and school district personnel, including certification of professional staff and APPR.Act as Title IX Coordinator.Provide training and support to district employees to ensure that human resources laws, regulations, policies and procedures are understood and implemented fairly and consistently.Oversee a new teacher mentoring and orientation program in collaboration with Fulton Teachers’ Association and building and district leaders.Supervise and evaluate assigned staff, including the Benefits Administrator and Human Resources Assistant.Work with administrators/supervisors on employee relations issues including investigations of alleged misconduct and timely grievance processing, as neededAttend and present at school board meetings.Maintain accurate records.Qualifications:School District Leader Certification with experience in K-12 schools and/or employment law.Experience in human resources management and creating positive culture.
