Position Summary: Speech and Language Therapists are essential members of the student support team focused on assisting students with their communication skills and fostering their confidence in verbal expression. They offer a variety of services to promote student growth and success. This professional will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to identify student needs in the areas of articulation, language, and vocabulary, offering classroom/small group lessons, and academic support. Essential Duties: Conduct screenings to identify students in need of speech and language Tier 2 support Deliver whole-class lessons as Tier 1 instruction Provide Tier 2 instruction to students, including English Language Learners, who need support in the areas of articulation, language concepts, vocabulary and expressive language Encourage students to use their words to communicate and needs Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech and language strategies into classroom activities. Provide guidance and resources to educators and parents to support communication development at school and home. Monitor and documenting student progress Qualifications: Candidates must be a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and appropriate state K-12 school certification.
