FRANKLIN CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICTDLI (Delaware Literary Institute) was founded in 1835 as a private school located on the school's present site. In 1930, DLI became a central school district known as Delaware Literary Institute and Franklin Central School. In 1983, Franklin was placed on the register of National Historic Places. The district currently serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. JOB DETAILSThe Franklin Central School District is seeking an exceptional candidate to serve as our Earth Science teacher. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, standards-based instruction. The successful candidate will possess a strong ability provide student-centered, engaging earth science instruction for a range of learners at multiple levels, deliver effective instruction to prepare for the NYS Science Regents exam, conduct ongoing assessment of student learning, modify instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, conduct individual and small group instruction as needed, organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting, ensure lab safety during experiments and fieldwork, including appropriate handling of materials and equipment, participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events, and develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and support staff.Candidates must have strong organizational skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all school and community stakeholders. NYS Certification is required. Salary and Benefits: The District will offer a competitive salary and benefits package based on candidate experience. Stipend of $2500.00 for additional teaching certification (if utilized).
