Jr./Sr. High School Mathematics Education Teacher This is a 10-month, probationary position with a start date of 2/1/24.Required Qualifications:Candidate must possess a NYS Mathematics Education Teacher Certification. Application Deadline: 12/31/23Start Date: 2/1/24Salary:Per current FPTA contract; level of education and experience will be considered.This position reports to the Building Principal. The Jr./Sr. High School Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for providing instruction to students in grades 7-12. Specifically, this position’s course load for the 2023-2024 year includes teaching Calculus, Geometry and Personal Finance.The ideal candidate will:Have a strong understanding of best practices for teaching, learning and assessmentUse developmentally appropriate strategies to promote student engagement with the contentCreate a positive learning environmentPossess strong verbal and written communication skillsBuild positive relationships with colleaguesPromote family engagement whenever possible
