The Floral Park-Bellerose Elementary School District, a Pre-K through Grade 6 district in western Nassau County, has an opening for a part-time Speech & Language Therapist. Must have Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology from a regionally accredited college or university and a NYS professional licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. Responsibilities will include completing in-depth diagnostic evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities; providing instruction and support for students with autism and other intellectual disabilities; developing effective goals, techniques, and lessons; incorporating available technology to maximize students' potential; taking, analyzing, and making decisions based on data; and using effective proactive and reactive behavior management strategies.
